Statistics slightly vary, but surveys of seminary students and missionaries show that, at a minimum, 70 percent of these people came to know Jesus Christ as Savior before the age of 14. If we dig a little deeper, we’ll uncover this startling fact: Over 50 percent of Christians chose to follow Christ between the ages of 5 and 9. Many people believe that the first 11 chapters of Genesis are just legends or fairy tales that have been passed down throughout the centuries. Many of the events are so supernatural and fanciful that most believe that the events just can’t be real. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. God is in control. God will give us the energy needed to accomplish His good will – His purposes. And what are God’s purposes? Our good. God’s will is that all should be saved. God’s will is that all should experience the greatest good in the universe – our creator God, our Forever Father, the One who loves us so much He sacrificed His son so we could be with Him.

Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, & Consummation. These are the 7 C’s of History. The 7 C’s tell us of God’s wonderful creation, His great plan for each of us, His mercy and grace poured out while we were yet sinners, His plan of redemption, His sacrifice and the shedding of His blood to pay the penalty for our sins, His victory over sin and death, His 2nd coming and the fulfillment of His promise of a new heaven and a new earth without sin.

This month for my morning Bible reading time, I’ve been reading a devotional that has me reading very slowly through Paul’s letter to the Philippians. There’s a lot of material in that short book. You can read it in under a half hour. I highly encourage you to take some time to read the book in its entirety, in one setting, asking God to illuminate it to you. I guarantee it will be worth it.
