“I’m not coming back!”… “It wasn’t what people did that was the turnoff. It was what they didn’t do. My mom conned me into coming, and nobody acted like they gave a rip if I was here. Nobody talked to me, like I was invisible or something. I would rather spend my time with people who at least are glad I showed up.”

Right now, we have many on our prayer list who are facing giants. They need to hear from you. They need to hear that someone is praying for them. They need to hear that someone still cares. They need to know that they are loved and appreciated by their brothers and sisters in Christ. They need to reach the point in their life where they can once again praise God for who He is and for all He has done for them.

In Ephesians 5:25 we find that Christ loved the church and gave himself up for it. Christ died for the church. What does that mean? He didn‘t die for bricks and mortar. He didn‘t die for 2×4‘s and shingles. He didn‘t die for associations or assemblies or religious institutions. Jesus died on the cross for people – for you and for me. He died and rose again so that all who believe in Him would have everlasting life. Continue reading

This play wrestles with these questions and many more.

Even Bible believing Christians struggle with what’s right and what’s wrong in today’s world. A few weeks ago we discussed and struggled with certain activities in which Christians may or may not be involved. How do we know what is right or wrong when it comes to those “gray” areas of life – those areas that the Bible doesn’t seem to specifically address for us? My wife, Amy, found the following from an old Sunday School book that she had. I think it will be very helpful to many who struggle with disputable matters of behavior… Continue reading

There are many people who have had their lives changed – maybe job loss, loss of a loved on, health issues, injury, divorce, and a host of other changes. For someone outside of the situation, these changes are “events” that take place. Events that we go by, express concern, and maybe bring a casserole. But for the person going through it, they are not just an event, it is a life change. Their world is different, it has been changed…forever. Continue reading

As I turned my head, there before me I saw a black car being crushed under the semi. Somehow the truck had hit the driver’s side of the car and I watched as the black car just folded up under the force of the truck. It all happened so fast. In a moment, two lives changed. Life happens fast. Your life can change.
After the wreck, two people’s lives changed forever. But the traffic kept flowing. Cars swept by. Their lives kept going – unchanged except for a brief delay perhaps. Continue reading
